Aids Agony
(reprinted with permission)
Silence! Silence! Silence!
All watch us in silence
Silence everywhere
While in agony we fade away in the silence
Death has silently knocked on our doors
And in silence invited us to its abode
Still everyone watches in silence
They make huge fortune in silence
Pretending driving away our misery
But in silence all their acquired wealth
Rest silently in their hearts
While in silence we slowly fade away
The world, as spectators, watch in silence
And will not break this fearful silence
Rise against this dreadful attacker
And break the silence
That even sends us swiftly away
Into the silent grave
